Captain Benjamin's Calabash Seafood Buffet

We had a goal in mind to find a seafood restaurant for dinner one evening. Last night, we decided to review some of the best. Captain Benjamin’s always appeared in our searches as one of the best, if not the best based on website/review. We decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed. The buffet is $50 for all you can eat. I haven’t been to too many buffets but this one had a TON of options. Seafood galore, shrimp any way you want it, alligator bites, crab, etc. we were beyond thrilled with the extensive selection offered. It was well worth the price. So good that we might go back before we leave for home on Saturday. I highly recommend this place for seafood. Totally awesome experience overall!

I'll be honest, I was expecting to be let down by a $50 buffet, but I was impressed. Don't know if I'd bring a family here (would get expensive) but on my own, or on a date, its really great food. They have an extensive array of really good seafood and a nice selection of additional dishes. Everything was well cooked and didn't have that "been sitting under a heat lamp" taste. The service was excellent. I spilled my drink and the server was on top of it and promptly moved me to another table. Really nice selection of desserts too, which is not always the case for a buffet. I don't know how it stacks up against the other buffets in town, but its excellent food and great service.

If you are in South Carolina and you are looking for a Seafood Buffet, this is the place to go. We are from NYC and we're scheptical because of all the advertising, But this place doesn't disappoint. I have never eaten that much in one sitting. You definitely get your money's worth. There is so much variety, you have to try the steaks and the crab legs, you a live on those, the desserts are pretty good also, usually I never make it to the desserts but I made sure to try thiers. We ate here twice.
